Over the skies of the nascent Republic of Velara, passenger flight VR-917 becomes a sealed tomb when a grieving son unleashes an engineered pathogen in revenge for the bulldozed slums that buried his mother. As the cabin descends into panic, the crew must choose between the old codes of loyalty and the brutal calculus of survival, while the world watches a live feed of the chaos inside the fuselage—a mirror of the tear-gas asphyxiation that once cleared protestors from a library. For flight attendant Liora Kaden, the crisis forces a reckoning with her own father, a police commander who ordered those very evictions, and with the city below that is still swallowing its past.
