Blood in the Pit

In the decaying Arkenville district of the Vale, Detective Elena Marr investigates a series of brutal murders dismissed as gang warfare. She soon uncovers a clandestine death-match circuit where the destitute fight for the amusement of shadowy elites. When she arrests a young combatant, Kael Morrison, the fragile victory collapses as Kael is beaten to death by correctional officers inside Arkenville Correctional Facility. The true architects of the horror remain untouched, leaving Marr to confront a justice system that feeds on the powerless, her idealism shattered against a wall of institutional rot.
