On a stormy night in Veridora, the senator’s son smashes his luxury SUV into a pedestrian and flees. To bury the scandal, the family coerces Mateo “Blazer” Soto, an undocumented mechanic struggling to keep his small auto consulting shop afloat, into confessing. They believe they’ve bought a disposable scapegoat. But Mateo has copied the vehicle’s black-box data and a dashcam video, hiding them where no one would think to look. From behind bars, he begins to weave an invisible net, pulling in a disillusioned journalist, a grieving family, and a disgraced ex-cop.
