Novel Summary
In the shadow of the Veridian Border Wall, two families—the Morvans of the North and the Estebans of the South—sustain a fragile existence through a forgotten tunnel, smuggling goods and hope under the eyes of a law deliberately perforated by those who wrote it. When a principled lawyer files a civil rights suit against the Border Patrol Division, he uncovers not negligence but a hidden architecture of power: a legal loophole intentionally carved to serve the interests of an untouchable elite. Inspired by the cold clarity of Leonardo Sciascia, this is a story of borders made of both concrete and code, where justice is not blind but selectively sighted.
